Lot 177 – Tattersalls Book 1 Sale – 80,000 Gns
AVAILABLE IN 25% SHARES
A thoroughly genuine and consistent colt, he caught our attention at the sales with his attitude and presence, showing himself off well every time we saw him. He is by New Bay, who now stands in Ireland at a fee of €75,000 and needs little introduction, with Bay City Roller flying the flag for the sire this season. New Bay has established himself as an excellent source of classy middle-distance performers,
His dam was a winner at two before developing into a highly effective performer over 10 to 12 furlongs at three. She reached a rating of 94 and finished fourth in a Listed race. The deeper pedigree is equally appealing, tracing back to the renowned Ballymacoll family that produced the likes of Trevaunance and Conduit.
Physically, he is a well-balanced, straightforward colt with a pleasing action and a willing attitude. He struck us as the type who wants to please. I would expect him to feature in seven- to eight-furlong maidens at two, with the scope and pedigree to develop into a very nice middle-distance performer at three.
He also comes with the added attraction of qualifying for the £25,000 Book 1 Bonus should he win a two-year-old maiden
