Lot 576 – Tattersalls Book 2 Sale – 85,000 Gns

AVAILABLE IN 25% SHARES

He was a striking yearling, and one we were particularly keen to acquire. By the first-season sire Good Guess, he reminds me very much of his father as a yearling. Good Guess was the best-looking son of Kodiac and sold for 420,000gns before going on to win a Group 1 over seven furlongs in France. His first crop has been well received, and this colt certainly has his sire’s good looks.

He is out of a Sea The Stars mare, by far one of the most influential broodmare sires around. Although unraced herself, she has already produced a high earner in America as well as St Anton, who has been a revelation for Richard Hannon this year. St Anton looks destined to become a black-type performer as he enters his four-year-old season.

As an individual, this colt is classy and straightforward, with plenty of size, scope and quality. I would expect him to be a mid-to-late summer two-year-old, with his physique suggesting there is plenty more to come as he matures and develops at three.
