Today we send out two runners to Windsor.

Shamran is our first runner of the evening and runs in the ‘Thames Novice Stakes (GBB Race) (Div I)’ for owner Imad Alsagar. Shamran is a 3 year old colt by Kingman and the first foal out of a mare who is half sister to multiple Group 1 winner Moonlight Cloud. So far Shamran has had just the one career start in which he put in an encourgaing performance and should have come on for the run. Today he continues over a mile and in a field of 10 runners. He has been drawn 4 with Hollie Doyle taking the ride.

Amphius is the other runner heading to Windsor and he runs in the second division of the ‘Thames Novice Stakes’ for his owners Juddmonte. He is also a 3 year old colt by Kingman and is out of Trojan Queen, a mare who has so far produced 3 horses with black type. So far Amphius has had 2 career starts in which he has shown a lot of promise and bumped into some good horses. On his debut he finished 3 lengths behind Economics, he has since won the Group 2 ‘Dante Stakes’. On his second start he finished half a length behind Indelible, she has since finished 4th in the ‘Sandringham Stakes’ at Royal Ascot and 2nd in the ‘Coral Distaff’. Today Amphius continues over a mile in a field of 8 runners, he has been drawn 7 with William Buick taking the ride.
