Two runners travel to Windsor
Today we send two runners to Windsor for The Racing League meeting.
Magical Merlin is our first runner of the day and runs in the ‘William Hill Keep Your Raceday Positive Racing League Race 16 Handicap’ for owners Paul Inglett & Beckhampton Racing but Team Wales & West. He is a three year old gelding by Kodiac and is a winner of two races over 6 furlongs. He was only beaten a neck on his most recent start and although he was awarded 1st place in the stewards room it was appealed and Magical Merlin was put back into 2nd place. Today he heads back to Windsor over 6 furlongs and makes his first appearance in The Racing League. The race has a field of 13 runners and he has been drawn 4 with blinkers applied.
Man Of Eden is our second runner of the day and runs in the ‘William Hill Epic Value Racing League Race 18 Handicap’ for owner D J Deer but Team Wales and West. He is a three year old gelding by Zoffany who has won over a mile. He put in a very strong performance on his most recent start at Goodwood when finishing 3rd of 17 runners in a Class 3 Handicap at Goodwood. Despite being badly hampered he was only beaten just over a length. He too makes his Racing League debut and continues to run over a mile. The race has a field of 10 runners and he has been drawn 6. Trevor Whelan takes the ride on both horses.
