Two runners travel to Salisbury
Today we send Breathless Bishop and Caraxes to Salisbury
Breathless Bishop is our first runner of the day and runs in the ‘Penang Turf Club Malaysia Novice Stakes’ for owners Bob Bishop, Simon Hunt and Family. He is a three year old gelding by Bated Breath and a half brother to 3 winners, all who have been in training here at Beckhampton. Imperial Aviator is the most successful half brother so far, winner of the Al Zubarah London Gold Cup. He finished his racing career with a total earnings of £94,528. Today Breathless Bishop makes his racecourse debut today over 1mile 2 furlongs in a field of 11 runners. He has been drawn 3 with Millie Wonnacott taking the ride as well as claiming 5lbs off his back. He should learn alot from today and we look forward to learning a bit more about him.
Caraxes runs in the ‘Penang Turf Club Malaysia Handicap’ for owner D J Deer. He is a 3 year old gelding by Al Kazeem and has had 3 career starts so far over a mile. He has been gelded since his most recent start and now has stepped up in trip to 1 mile 4 furlongs. Today he makes his handicap debut with a mark of 65. The race has a total field of 11 runners and he has been drawn 3. Hopefully today he will appreciate the extra 4 furlongs with Trevor Whelan taking the ride.
