Two runners travel to Kempton
Today we send two runners to Kempton.
Mother Margaret is our first runner of the day and runs in the ‘Unibet More Boosts In More Races Handicap’ for owners Andrew Rosen and Edward W Easton. She is a three year old filly by Kingman who has had three career starts so far and has shown promise over 7 furlongs and a mile. Today she makes her handicap debut over a mile with a mark of 72. The race has a field of 13 runners and she has been drawn 9. Richard Kingscote takes the ride.
Sleeping Lion runs in the ‘Try Unibet’s Improved Bet Builder Handicap’ for owners Merry Fox Stud Limited. He is a 8 year old gelding by Teofilo who has had a total of 30 career starts so far which has included 5 wins, 5 2nd and 5 3rd places. He finished 2nd on his most recent start behind Trawlerman who has since gone on to win a Listed race at Newmarket followed by winning the Group 2 ‘Long Distance Cup’ at Ascot. Today he is back up in trip to 2 miles in a field of 8 runners. He has been drawn 1 with David Probert taking the ride. He has been a course and distance winner twice now and fingers crossed he can look to make it three times today.
