Time Lock and Elegancia head to Newmarket for the Princess Royal Group 3

Today we send Time Lock and Elegancia to Newmarket, both running in the ‘Princess Royal Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai Stakes’ (Group 3).

Time Lock is a four year old filly by Frankel and has had 9 career starts so far for owners Juddmonte. This has included 2 wins and 4 placings. She won her most recent start in France over 1 mile 4 furlongs in a Listed race at Craon and her previous start to that she placed 3rd over 1 mile 6 furlongs in a Group 2 race at Goodwood. Today she is back into Group 3 company over 1 mile 4 furlongs in a field of 11 runners. She has been drawn 11 with Ryan Moore taking the ride. Hopefully today she can look to follow up on her previous win.

Elegancia is a three year old filly by Lope De Vega and she has had 6 career starts so far for owner St Albans Bloodstock which has included winning her last two starts over 1 mile 2 furlongs. Today will be her first attempt in Group company and her first step up in trip to 1 mile 4 furlongs from previously winning over 1 mile 2 furlongs. She has been drawn 4 with Kevin Stott taking the ride. We look forward to seeing how she handles the tougher competition today but fingers crossed we will see another strong performance from her.
