Three runners split between Sandown and Goodwood
Today we send out three runners between Sandown and Goodwood.
I’m Puzzled is our first runner of the day and runs in the ‘Chasemore Farm British EBF Maiden Stakes (GBB Race)’ at Sandown for owners de Zoete, Inglett & Jones. He is a 2 year old colt by Sea The Moon and out of a Peintre Celebre mare. He was purchased at the Tattersalls Book 2 sale last year by Amada Skiffington for 40,000 Gns. He is a half brother to four winners which includes a horse called Puzzle Time, winner of five races and Listed placed. The family traces back to All At See a Juddmonte mare who won 5 races including a Group 1 as well as placing 2nd in two Group 1 races with one of them being the Oaks. Today I’m Puzzled makes his racecourse debut in a field of 9 runners. He has been drawn 6 with Kieran Shoemark taking the ride. We look forward to watching him run and learning more about him.
Stage Show is our second runner today and also heads to Sandown to run in the ‘Beck Handicap’ for owners Brook Farm Bloodstock. The 3 year old by Showcasing has had four career starts so far and showed promise on his last two starts over 7 furlongs and a mile. Today he steps up in trip for the first time to 1 mile 2 furlongs which should hopefully be to his liking. The race today has a field of 9 runners and he has been drawn 9. Kieran Shoemark takes the ride.
Man Of Eden is our final runner of the day and heads to Goodwood to run in the ‘William Hill Keep Your Raceday Positive Handicap’ for owner D J Deer. The three year old gelding by Zoffany is a winner over a mile and placed on three other occasions. Although finishing 4th on his most recent start he was only beaten 1 and 1/2 lengths and bumped into traffic in the final 2 furlongs of the race. The race today has a field of 8 runners and he has been drawn 7. James Doyle takes the ride.
