Two runners to Salisbury

Sapphire Secret lines up in today’s Danny McNab Bookmakers Novice Stakes for owners Juddmonte . Having made her racecourse debut on 17th April, she comes into this contest with just two starts to her name. She showed signs of inexperience on both previous outings, racing green over seven furlongs on debut and also when stepped up to a mile. Today she is back over 7 furlongs and hopefully shows some signs of improvement. The race has a field of 14 runners and she has been drawn 4.

Besieged competes in the ‘Kingsclere Racing Club Maiden Stakes’ for owners Al Shaqab Racing and Rockcliffe Stud. The 3 year old colt by Dubawi has had 2 career starts so far, one being over a mile and the other over 1 mile 2 furlongs. On both of his starts he has placed 2nd beaten less than a length and hopefully today can look to go one better. The race has a field of 11 runners and he has been drawn 2.
