Three runners divided between Newbury and Newmarket

Today we send out three runners between Newbury and Newmarket.

Valsad is our first runner of the day and heads to Newbury to run in the ‘Dubai Duty Free Autumn Cup Handicap’ for owner Mr S Stuckey. He is a 4 year old gelding by Intello and has had 9 career starts in total which has included 2 wins and 4 placings. He was a winner on his most recent start at Southwell over 1 mile 4 furlongs in the Racing League and today steps up to 1 mile 5 and a half furlongs. This trip should suit him as he has already placed over 1 mile 6 furlongs last year at Haydock on soft ground. Today’s race has a field of 7 runners and he has been drawn 1. Magical Merlin travels to Newmarket to run in the ‘Turners Handicap’ for owners Paul Inglett & Beckhampton Racing. He is a 3 year old gelding by Kodiac and a winner of 2 races from 11 starts as well as placing on two other occasions. He put in a very creditable performance on his most recent start when stepped back up to 7 furlongs. Today he continues over 7 furlongs in a field of 5 runners, he has been drawn 2 with Cheekpieces applied. David Probert takes the ride.

Zain Nights is our final runner of the day and also heads to Newmarket. He runs in the ‘Turners Cesarewitch Trial Handicap’ for owner Asaad Al Banwan. He is a 4 year old gelding by Decorated Knight and is a winner of 3 races from 16 starts as well as placing 6 times on other occasions. Today he steps up in trip to 2 mile 2 furlongs for the first time in a field of 10 runners. He has been drawn 8 with William Buick taking the ride. Cheekpieces have been applied to help him concentrate on the task in hand.
