The first double for HJC

Yesterday we sent Niloufar and Machete Beach to Lingfield.

Niloufar ran in the ‘Download The Raceday Ready App Handicap’ for owners Dr Jamal Ahmadzadeh and Mrs D Swinburn. Having won on her previous start she went to Lingfield in search of making it a double. She ran in mid division until making headway around 2 furlongs from home, she rallied on inside the final furlong and took the race by a nose.

Machete Beach was our second runner at Lingfield and made his racecourse debut in the ‘Download The Racecourse App Raceday Ready Restricted Maiden Stakes’ for owner D J Deer. He jumped out of the stalls well and got a position in mid field. Although running a little keen for the first few furlongs he soon settled and made headway around 2 furlongs from home. Despite being green he kept on well to win the race by a head. Both horses where given great rides by jockey Trevor Whelan.

It was a great day for all of the team and great for Harry to get his first double as a trainer.
