Machete Beach makes it 2 from 2
On Monday we sent Machete Beach to Windsor for owner D J Deer. He had not long won his racecourse debut at Lingfield and headed into the race in search of making it 2 in a row. It was only his second start and also made his turf debut in the ‘Get Raceday Ready Restricted Novice Stakes’. He jumped out of the stalls well and was settled into the middle of the field, he was moved up into 2nd around the 2 furlong marker and then took a narrow lead with a furlong left to the line. He stayed on really well and won the race by a neck under Tom Marquand.
Today we send Ravishing Beauty to Bath to run in the ‘Yeeehaaa.Bet Maiden Fillies’ Stakes’ for owner Imad Alsagar. She is a three year old filly by Camelot and had just the one career start last year as a two year old. She has grown and strengthend up over the winter and makes her three year old debut today. The race has a field of 11 runners and she has been drawn 10. A hood has been applied to help her relax and she has been stepped up from 7 furlongs to a mile. Hollie Doyle takes the ride.
