An across the card double at Doncaster and Epsom

 In Beckhampton News

Yesterday we sent out two runners split between Doncaster and Epsom.

Primeval was our first runner of the day at Doncaster making her racecourse debut for owners Juddmonte. She is a vey well bred filly being by Lope De Vega and out of Passage of time making her a half sister to Time Test and Tempus. She jumped well giving her a nice position behind the leaders, she was pushed along around a furlong from home and battled on well with the favorite and went on to win the race by over a length under jockey Rossa Ryan.

Magical Merlin was our other runner of the day and travelled to Epsom to run in the ownership of Paul Inglett and Beckhampton Racing. It was an interesting start of the race as he ducked left when jumping putting him at the rear of the field as well as having a loose horse in the mix. Despite the start he went 2nd around a furlong from home and kept on well towards the finish. He was beaten by a neck but after a stewards enquiry he was placed 1st as the winner of the race caused interference to Magical Merlin.
