Arolla and Okeechobee head to Haydock

Today we have 2 runners heading to Haydock which is Arolla and Okeechobee both owned by Juddmonte.

Arolla runs in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Dick Hern Stakes (Listed Race) having had her last start at Royal Ascot in which she was a little disappointing. Prior to her run at Ascot she put in a solid run to finish 2nd beaten a length in a Listed race at Musselburgh with the winner going on to finish 2nd in the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes after. Today’s race has a field of 8 runners and Arolla has been drawn 4, hopefully the smaller field will me more to her liking and hopefully see her back running another strong race. Okeechobee runs in the Group 3 Rose Of Lancaster Stakes under Kieran Shoemark. Having won the Group 3 Gordon Richards Stakes last year he has had 2 runs since and has been a little disappointing at Listed level although on his most recent start he may not have quite liked the ground as quick as it was. Today’s ground is being called good which hopefully he will enjoy more and the race has a field of 8 runners. We would love to see him come back to form in the field of 8 runners but it is a competitive race as to be expected.
