Today we send out 4 runners between Redcar and Sandown.

Hypnotised is the first to go of our runners and heads to Redcar to make his racecourse debut in the ‘Racing TV Free Trial British EBF Novice Stakes’ for owners Juddmonte. The 2yr old colt by No Nay Never is a half brother to Group 1 winner Whitebeam who having been Listed placed in the UK went on to win 2 Group 1 races in America. The dam Sleep Walk is a half sister to the Group 1 St Leger winner Logician as well as a half sibling to Okeechobee, Suffused, Collide and the exciting prospect Skimmer. The race today has a field of 7 runners and has been drawn 1. Callum Rodriguez takes the ride and we look forward to learning more about him.

Magical Merlin heads to Sandown for the World Horse Welfare Apprentice Handicap. He put in a solid effort on his most recent start on the 15th June after nearly 8 months off the track to finish 2nd beaten half a length. Today he continues over a mile in a field of 6 runners. He has been drawn 3 with Millie Wonnacott taking the ride.

Grand Cascade makes his racecourse debut in the ‘Chasemore Farm EBF Novice Stakes’ for owner Mohammed Jaber. The dam Hitra won 2 races at 3 years in France and placed 6 times including 2nd in a French Listed race. Grand Cascade is a half brother to 4 winners, this includes Listed winner Akemi and 2 others that are now Group 3 placed in France and Norway. Today Grand Cascade makes his debut in a field of 8 with a draw of 8. Trevor Whelan takes the ride.

Killing Eye is our final runner of the day and makes her handicap debut at Sandown for owner Mohammed Jaber. Her 3 starts so far have been disappointing but hopefully now into handicaps she will show a bit more promise. The race today has a field of 8 runners and she has been drawn 4. Blinkers have been applied with Trevor Whelan taking the ride.
