Skimmer puts in another impressive performance

 In Beckhampton News

Yesterday we sent Skimmer to Kempton to run in the ‘Darley EBF Novice Stakes’ for owners Juddmonte. Having made a winning debut at Leicester on the 26th April 2025 he was looking to follow it up on his 2nd start yesterday. Having been on the outside in midfield, around 2 furlongs out he switched onto the inside and took up the lead around a furlong from the finish. He kept on well under Colin Keane and won the race just short of 2 lengths. He is a really nice horse with a great attitude and we look forward to seeing him progress.

Today we send Previse out to Newbury to run in the ‘Pump Technology Evening Series Handicap’ for owners Juddmonte. The 3-year-old filly by Oasis Dream was an 80-1 winner of a novice on her 2nd start. She was disappointing on her most recent start when making her handicap debut at Sandown but hopefully she can put that behind her and see her run another strong race today. The race today has a field of 8 runners, and she has been drawn 6. Trevor Whelan takes the ride.

Clermont Ferrand is our other runner of the day and competes in the ‘Orida Hotels Handicap’ for owners Merry Fox Stud Limited. Having had three starts, today she makes her handicap debut in a field of 8 runners with a draw of 3. She has shown promise on her 3 starts so hopefully we will see another promising run from her today. Kieran Shoemark takes the ride.
