Arolla gains her valuable black type

On Saturday we sent Arolla to Musselburgh to run in the ‘Edinburgh Gin Queen Of Scots British EBF Fillies’ Stakes (Listed Race)’. Prior to the race she had won 2 races from 4 starts and had finished 6th in a Listed race in France (with only a length between the winner and herself). She went into Saturday’s race well and in search of gaining the valuable black type. She got a nice position in behind the leaders and when asked 2 furlongs out she kept on well. Despite hanging a little bit towards the rail, she picked up 2nd place in the field of 9 runners under jockey Trevor Whelan.
