Okeechobee heads to the Magnolia Stakes at Kempton

Today we send out two runners to Kempton.

Warrior King is our first runner of the day and makes his racecourse debut in the ‘Virgin Bet/EBF Novice Stakes’ for owners O T I Racing, Paul Inglett and Partner. The 3 year old gelding by Saxon Warrior has been one that has needed time to fill into his big frame but after a winter break has looked to have done well. Today he makes his debut in a field of 14 runners and he has been drawn 8. He will be one that should improve a lot for the run and we look forward to learning more about him today. Okeechobee is back and runs in the ‘Virgin Bet Daily Price Boosts Magnolia Stakes (Listed Race)’ for owners Juddmonte. Despite being a lightly raced 6 year old his form is 4 wins from 6 starts and placed twice. He finished 2nd in this race last year behind the now multiple Group 1 winner Dubai Honour and then went on to win the Group 3 Gordon Richards Stakes. The race today has a field of 8 runners and he has been drawn 4. Oisin Murphy takes the ride and we hope to see him back to form and putting in another solid performance.
