Four runners split between Ascot and Haydock

Today we send out four runners. Three runners head to Ascot and one runner heads to Haydock.

Zouzanna is our first runnner of the day and heads to Ascot to run in the ‘Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% British EBF Fillies’ Handicap’ for owners Brooke – Rankin, Frost, Hues, Inglett. She is a four year old filly by Zoustar who has had 8 career starts in total. She has won 2 of her starts and and placed on 3 other occasions. Today she makes her four year old debut over a mile in a field of 10 runners. She has been drawn 5 with William Buick taking the ride.

Merlin The Wizard also heads to Ascot and runs in the ‘Lavazza & Ascot 10 Year Anniversary Victoria Cup (Heritage Handicap)’ for owner Imad Alsagar. He is a 4 year old gelding by Camelot who has won 3 out of his 7 starts, this includes his win last season in a Class 3 Handicap at Newmarket on the July Course. Today he makes his 4 year old debut in a field of 23 runners. He has been drawn 9 with Hollie Doyle taking the ride. He also makes a drop back in trip to 7 furlongs and moves up into Heritage Handicap company.

Magical Merlin in our third runner of the day and our only runner travelling to Haydock. He is a 4 year old gelding by Kodiac who has had 12 career starts. He has won 2 of his starts and placed on 3 other occasions. Today he continues to run over 7 furlongs in a field of 12 runners. He has been drawn 3 with Richard Kingscote taking the ride. Cheekpieces have been applied.

Midair is our final runner of the day and heads to Ascot to run in the ‘Carey Group Handicap’ for owners Juddmonte. He is a three year old colt by Frankel who has had 4 career starts so far and placed 2nd on 3 of them. He made his three year old debuton the 23rd of April over 1 mile and was just held off by a neck. Today he makes a step up in trip to 1 mile 2 furlongs in a field of 8 runners. He has been drawn 3 with William Buick taking the ride.
