Two runners head to Newbury
Today we send two runners on the short trip to Newbury.
Our first runner of the day is Vanish who makes his racecourse debut in the ‘Darley Novice Stakes’ for owners Brook Farm Bloodstock. He is a three year old colt by Galileo and out of a Redoute’s Choice mare. He is a full brother to Anchorage, a winner over a mile and placed 3rd in the Group 3 ‘Eyrefield Stakes’ at Leopardstown over 1 mile 1 furlong. Vanish was purchased at the Tattersalls Book 1 Sale for 200,000 Gns by Badgers Bloodstock. Today he makes his debut over 1 mile 2 furlongs in a field of 12 runners. He has been drawn 11 with James Doyle taking the ride. He is a lovely looking colt and we look forward to learning more about him today.
American Bay is our second runner today and runs in the ‘Dubai Duty Free Full Of Surprises Handicap’ for owners Ballylinch Emmet Inglett and Partners. He is a three year old colt by New Bay who had four career starts as a two year old. Although still a maiden he placed in three out of his four starts with a neck and a nose being the winning margin in the two of them. He finished his two year old season off with a mark of 83. Today he makes his three year old debut back over 7 furlongs in a field of 8 runners. He has been drawn 1 with David Probert taking the ride.
