Frankel’s half brother Kikkuli wins at Newmarket

Yesterday we sent Kikkuli to Newmarket to run in the ‘Alex Scott Maiden Stakes’ for owners Juddmonte. As a two year old he had just the one career start in which he ran a very encouraging race at Newmarket finishing 2nd (the winner of that race has since gone on to win a Listed race). Yesterday he made his three year old debut in a competitive field of 12 runners over 7 furlongs. He had strengthened up a lot over the winter and looked to have improved a lot from his first start heading into the race yesterday. Being a half brother to Frankel he was always bound to have some expectation surround him but it was great to see him win and put in a very strong performance under Ryan Moore despite still being green.
